EventsCommunity & connection happen when we gather together. At Northend Church we want to be a community that meets our neighbours, supports each other, and provides opportunities to be in life giving relationships.
Watoto Children’s Choir
The Watoto Children’s Choir is performing a FREE concert at Northend Church on Wednesday, February 5th at 6:30pm.
Watoto Children’s Choirs have travelled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s most vulnerable children and women. On almost every day of the year, the choir is performing somewhere in the world.
The choir serves many purposes. It raises awareness about the work of Watoto globally. It’s also leadership training for our children, providing a strong sense of responsibility while experiencing different cultures. More importantly, it’s a way we share our faith with people around the world. We see thousands of people connect with the love of Jesus and what He’s done in our children’s lives.
Other than coming to Africa yourself, what better way to learn about all the good work God is doing through Watoto than by meeting the children and hearing their stories.
Please mark it on your calendars! There will be a love offering taken during the concert to help support the choir. More information about the choir can be found HERE.
CAP Money Course:
Prevention is better than a cure.
In a society where money has a profound impact on everyone’s lives and the majority of people worry about their finances (50% – Conference Board of Canada, 2013), it is vital for everyone to have a basic understanding of money management.
The CAP Money Course is a revolutionary money management course that gives participants the opportunity to learn skills that have a lasting impact on their finances.
The CAP Money course now helps over 10,000 people a year worldwide. Financial Illiteracy is a major cause of debt and poverty, and the CAP Money Course is an integral part of CAP’s vision to empower the local church to tackle poverty in its community.
Course offered free of charge at Northend Church in January. SIGN UP HERE.
