Ministries

Community & connection happen when we gather together. At Northend Church we want to be a community that meets our neighbours, supports each other, and provides opportunities to be in life giving relationships.

Northend Kidz Ministry

Where kids come to hear about Jesus, experience His love, and build friendships

In Northend kidz, we provide an exciting, safe, and welcoming kids program for ages 0-11 years old. It is our mission to teach your kids all about who Jesus is and the love He has for them, and walk with them as they encounter His presence.

NURSERY [BIRTH- 2.5YRS]

In the nursery, we provide a loving and safe environment with trained volunteers every week for your children ages 0-2.5 years old.

The nursery is located downstairs and is available throughout the entirety of the service.

JUNIOR KIDZ [3 + 4 YRS]

Our Junior kidz room is a fun and exciting environment where your preschoolers will come to sing, play, create, and engage in bible stories written for their age group. Our hope is for our little ones to experience the love of Jesus each week.

Our Junior Kidz meet downstairs and are dismissed part way through the service.

SENIOR KIDZ [GRADES K-6]

Our Senior Kidz room is a place where your children can come and experience God’s presence through engaging activities, bible lessons, and small group time. We believe that relationship building is essential and not only do we as leaders want to build connections with your children, but we want to provide a place where friendships can be built amongst the children as well. It is our goal to walk with each of our Senior Kidz and help them grow in their relationship with God through prayer, conversations, and of course fun games and activities each week.

Our Senior Kidz room is located downstairs and kids are dismissed part way through the service.

All kids ages 0-11 must be checked in each week. Please sign in your children downstairs in either the nursery, Junior Kidz room or just outside the Senior Kidz room before the service begins at 10am. Each child will receive a name tag and parents must come and sign out their children after the service.

Food Bank

We know times are tough and the current situation is difficult. If you’re having a hard time putting food on the table, we’re here to help. We would love to drop-off canned food items to your door. Please download the current list of food by clicking HERE and send the completed form to office@northendchurch.ca . Alternatively, you may call the office at 905-934-3398 to place an order via phone.

Would you like to volunteer your time and efforts in purchasing, categorizing, or dropping off food? If you are interested in doing so, please contact the office for more information. As always, careful considerations will be made regarding social distancing and following all of Niagara Region’s state of emergency guidelines.

Northend Church Singles Group:

Here at Northend we are fortunate enough to offer a community group for adults who are single and single-again. We hope that this group can be somewhere that adults can find new friendships as the group shares a desire to see how God made one a whole number.

The group plans monthly social activities around the Niagara Region. Check out our Events page to see what is upcoming. You can contact the group coordinator with any questions. Contact Cathy here.

Prayer Ministries:

Change, growth, and a harvest is not reaped by human hands. We know and acknowledge that in everything we do, it must be through Him. He is the Source of our healing, our Refuge when the earth crumbles away, the One who is worthy of our praise.

Our prayer ministry meets each Wednesday via Zoom at 8:15AM. If you would like the link to join, please email Nicole at prayer@northendchurch.ca .

Additionally, you can submit a prayer request anytime by clicking Connect > Prayer. All requests are held confidential and prayed over by our Prayer team.

Northend Youth:

Ready to live life with no limits? For youth 9th to 12th grade, come out Thursday nights at 6:30PM here at Northend Church to experience worship, message, and community. We strive to cultivate an atmosphere of love and respect that will be taken into our homes, neighborhood, city, and world.

Northend Seniors:

At Northend Church we try to make sure that everyone has a group that they can be a part of. Our seniors are no exception. We value our 65+ community and all the assets they bring to our larger church community. Our Seniors group is led by a group of faithful volunteers as well as our Pastor to Seniors, Ben Wohlgemut. You can get in touch with Ben here.

Our seniors group enjoys getting together regularly for a time of getting to know each other, sharing, and other special programs. There are also occasional outings and other activities arranged.

Snack Program with Parnall School:

We are happy to be getting involved with our local community, acutally, they are down the street from us! We have partnered with Parnall Public School to help provide snacks to students who are in need. If you’re interested in supporting this initiative please contact the church. We can provide an approved snacks list or we can also take financial donations towards the project.
